Completely discontinued support for Windows 10 20H2

Microsoft announced the complete termination of support for version 20H2 of the Windows 10 operating system. This is reported by the portal Neowin. Recall that in October 2020, Windows 10 20H2 was introduced. For custom versions of the OS, they gave 18 months of support.

In May 2022, cumulative updates for the Home and Pro editions were discontinued, and the Education, Enterprise, and IoT Enterprise editions have now been retired. This means that there will be no more patches and security updates.

Therefore, the developers recommend installing a more up-to-date operating system to avoid problems with PC protection. Windows 10 20H2 is the latest variant of the “dozens” that has received major changes to the interface, including improvements to the taskbar, themed tiles in the Start menu, and optimizations for touch devices.

The proprietary Edge browser based on EdgeHTML in 20H2 was replaced by a version based on the Chromium engine. Earlier, Solovei.info wrote that artificial intelligence is being integrated into Windows 12.
