However, artificial intelligence is not only about visuals. ChatGPT chatbot is able to accurately and informatively answer almost any of your questions and not only. Let’s see how ChatGPT works and what its capabilities are.
What is ChatGPT
Neural networks like Midjourney are focused on creating graphic content. They were trained through millions of different images. Systems store mathematical laws, on the basis of which new pictures are generated.
ChatGPT is a language model created by the American company OpenAI. Since 2011, the company has been conducting research in several directions using machine learning methods. For example, in 2017, the company introduced OpenAI Five, a program that was able to beat the Champions of The International 2 in Dota 2018.
One of the key areas of the company is a natural language processing algorithm called GPT. The GPT-1 version used the Books Corpus dataset of about 7000,2 unpublished books for training. The next version, GPT-<>, used even more data.
At the same time, the so-called possibility of prediction appeared there. For example, to translate from English to French, an English sentence was given, followed by a hint – a French word. The program had to understand that this was a translation task, and give a French analogue of the English sentence. At the same time, the number of parameters in GPT-2 has grown to one and a half billion.
That was just the beginning. OpenAI set out to create a model that didn’t need to be fine-tuned and required only a few demonstrations to understand the task. So there was GPT-3 with 175 billion parameters. The system was trained on five databases – Common Crawl, WebText2, Books1, Books2 and Wikipedia. This model had ten times more parameters than Microsoft Turing NLG from Microsoft and NVIDIA.
In November 2022, OpenAI introduced the ChatGPT bot, which works on an improved version – GPT-3.5. The model was trained in collaboration with Microsoft on the Azure supercomputer infrastructure. The new bot is able to cope with more than 600 types of tasks
ChatGPT remembers the details of the conversation and builds answers based on the information previously provided. If the answer for some reason does not suit you, you can always ask for another, taking into account the clarifications. ChatGPT in this case will really provide another solution. The system works, among other things, in Russian language. However, mainly English-language texts were used for training, and it is better to ask the query in English.

A chatbot with artificial intelligence offers a wide range of opportunities – you just need to ask a question of interest and get an answer.
Find data
When we need to find out some information, we turn to search engines. That’s just Google or Yandex do not give us a specific answer, but only display a list of sites. You need to search there for the necessary information manually. In the case of ChatGPT, you get a relevant answer right away.

Similarly, you can get an answer to other questions concerning the exact sciences – physics, chemistry, mathematics and so on. ChatGPT is able to explain almost anything.
Editing
The language model exhibits a high degree of comprehension of the text. Therefore, it can be used for deep rewriting and other tasks related to editing. For example, you can arrange the text in a scientific style.
Creative tasks
Can a machine write a book? Now this question can be safely answered “yes”. So, the American designer Ammar Reshi gave the task of ChatGPT to generate a book according to his verbal description. It turned out to be a small book of 25 pages with images from Midjourney. This is a children’s story about a girl named Alice, who opens the world of artificial intelligence.
You can create different scenarios by specifying the location, acting characters and situation. A chatbot even knows how to humor, but it’s up to you to decide how good it is. Writing songs or essays is also not a problem. In addition, the bot can be asked to write a text query to generate images – for example, for midjourney and Stable Diffusion neural networks.
Business
Writing posts for social networks, letters for online mailing, drawing up plans for business development and so on. Project and legal documentation is another way to test the capabilities of ChatGPT. Of course, in most cases, additional editing will be required. A chatbot can even generate new ideas – indispensable for brainstorming.
Solving mathematical problems
Simple and relatively complex equations are usually not a problem. You can also specify a text description of the tasks, but then the language model may make mistakes.
Programming tasks
One of the most talked about features is ChatGPT. As numerous tests show, the bot is able to write quite meaningful and working parts of the code for specific tasks.

What else?
Make a training program or diet for the week, ask for a recipe for a dish, find out the most popular sites on the topic you are interested in or quickly make a formula for searching for data in Excel. This is also included in the list of ChatGPT features.
However, do not forget that this is a language model. The result given in mathematical problems, programming and related topics is not always reliable. Even if it looks convincing. If you point out a clear error, the bot won’t always be able to understand it.
