Prices for iPhone in Russia decreased by 10%

Prices for the iPhone in the Russian Federation in large retail chains decreased by an average of 6%, said two sources in retail – an employee of one of the retailers, as well as a source in a partner company of several electronics manufacturers. For some models, the cost has been reduced by 10%.

The data on the websites of retail chains confirm this. For example, at the end of last week, re: Store discounted the iPhone by 1-5 thousand rubles, depending on the model and amount of memory. By about 5% (up to 95.99 thousand rubles) in this network, the iPhone 14,256 GB fell in price in the American version “only with eSIM”. In the MTS online store, the price of one of the modifications of the iPhone 14 128 GB was reduced by almost 13% to 78.5 thousand rubles, and for a device with 256 GB of memory – by 7%, follows from the data from the retailer’s website.

iPhone sellers are talking about lowering prices in anticipation of the release of new Apple products and adjusting purchase prices and demand. Other factors include the fact that due to parallel imports, the volume of which Apple now does not regulate, the market was overstocked with the iPhone.

Eldar Murtazin, a leading analyst at Mobile Research Group, agrees with this explanation. Sales of Apple’s smartphones have fallen quite a bit lately, demand for them is low, and stocks are more than enough, he explains. He also estimated the average reduction in the cost of Apple gadgets at 5-6%.

A source in a partner company of several electronics manufacturers confirms the surplus of iPhone in the Russian market. These gadgets are purchased and sold by all and sundry: marketplaces, large and small stores, because now no one restricts the supply of iPhones, they go through parallel imports. Such competition inevitably leads to lower prices, he states.
