NVIDIA Releases GeForce Game Ready 531.61 WHQL Driver with GeForce RTX 4070 Support

NVIDIA has released a fresh package of graphics driver GeForce Game Ready 531.61 WHQL. It adds support for the GeForce RTX 4070 video card.

The manufacturer has also added to the new driver support for CUDA 12.1, RTX Video Super Resolution technology for scaling video in browsers. In addition, the new driver from 3 to 5 increases the number of simultaneous NVENC encoding sessions on video cards that support this technology.

List of fixed issues:

  • Fixed stability issues in Assassin’s Creed Origins when using the 531.18 driver.
  • fixed random crashes while playing The Last of Us Part I on GeForce RTX 30-series graphics cards;
  • Fixed an issue with black screen and freezes during shader compilation in Hogwarts Legacy with driver 531.18.

List of known issues:

  • enabling/disabling HDR in games leads to a decrease in stability when using a non-original resolution;
  • Short-term flickering of the screen when resuming from sleep mode, if DSR/DLDSR functions are active;
  • increased size of vegetation textures in the Halo Wars 2 strategy and their flickering;
  • screen flicker when looking at the sky in Watch Dogs 2 on GeForce RTX 4090 graphics cards;
  • high DPC values in Latency Mon.
  • using GeForce Experience Freestyle filters may cause games to crash.
